Oxymoronic Poem

found this in my son's blog...like him, i appreciate good writing
-------------
one bright day in the middle of the night
two dead boys got up to fight
back to back they faced each other
drew their swords and shot each other
a deaf policeman heard the noise
and came to rescue two dead boys
if you don't believe this lie is true
ask the blind man, he saw it too
-------------
dunno who the writer is! anyone knows?

ENJOYED it tremendously.

If no1 wants to claim ownership, Desiderata won't mind.

Meanwhile, I share one of my own, esp for the YoungOnes:

Thank you!

When Auntie gives you a cookie
You learnt from young to say "Thank you!"

When you are handed a red packet on New Year's Day
You wish the giver: "Happy New Year, thank you!"

When Boss gives you a raise
You gush: "Thank you, thank you!"

So one is taught civil behaviour
At school, at work and at the dinner table

Also, Elders beseech you:
If someone slaps you on the left cheek
Please turn him your right cheek

But I wouldn't advise you thus
In my wisdom gotten in golden years
I would beseech you,shout back:
"No, no thanks!
I don't fire blanks!"
