Finally my wife and I applied for our MyCard.... this week.
We were dreading it. Horror stories abound of long queues and harrassed public in a stuffy crowded room!
Surprise surprise.... there was no queue, no form to fill and no need to pay anything. We just produce our old hibiscus IC, sat infront of two glaring spotlight and have our mugshots taken, given a form (to take to another counter) no need to fill the form, show our old IC again and have our thumb prints taken digitally. Viola its done before you can say thank you Abdullah Badawi! It will be ready in two months time.
It was so fast that when we came out of the building, there was no parking ticket even on our car screen. And service was very courteous too. We need to be thankful for small things like this.

ehehehe... last time I went when I was pregnant, no need to queue oh! just jump ahead of everybody!
and since the hubby was with me, he got to jump queue too! wahhh....
we were in and out in 15 minutes! no time for them wawasan ikhtisas ppl to put ticket on the car!!
it was a blessed day!
yeah, u pregnant u get privilege mah, so it was special for us to find that there was no one in front of us!!!

same experience over here. Really surprised me. Hmm... how I wish all civil dept are like this one. A good change, one step at the step......
another department that has improved tremendously is the passport department...
there is hope yet right? :D
