Just celebrated my 50th birthdayat the Great Wall of China
and survived!
My lover
(Beijingers call their wives Ai-Ren)
and I chose an adventurous 10 km hike
at the not so touristy part
of the Great wall.
It is not the easy sight-seeing option,
but it was simply fantastic.
The rewardfor the
challenging
5-hour hike
was a Beijing Duck dinner in Beijing
at the end
of the day!
50 years comes only once in a lifetime, afterall ... :D
Overall Beijing is a nice place for a visit. Food is good,
price is reasonable and affordable for Malaysians,
and shopping can be a bargain if you know how.

remaining duck? got, couldnt finish one whole duck the 2 of us... but didnt tar-pau woh ;p
we only have one duck and a vegetable (kai-lan and button mushroom)... yummy, and could not finish
forbidden city was sooo crowded and HUGE... got some pix, but it is just buildings and more buildings and lotsa people... so didnt post lor...

aiseh... nearly took a pic of a baby's bum bum where the parents put put on a pair of pants with slit holes at bottom for the baby to do the bizness without taking off the pants! so cute... but couldnt take it on time... ;p
